Welcome to Valentia Ice Cream! The Daly's are third-generation dairy farmers at Kilbeg, on the beautiful Valentia Island in South West Kerry. Our herd is 70 strong, happy, well-fed pedigree Holstein Friesian cows. In 2006, we began to investigate ways to bring added value to our farm and the milk that is produced by our herd. With the high cream content and excellent quality of the milk produced, we decided that what Valentia Island and the Skellig Coast needed was farm produced ice-cream and of course, an ice-cream parlour. Everybody loves ice-cream, right?

We are the only artisan ice-cream producers in South Kerry and you can only experience our ice-cream at the parlour on Valentia. While farming is a 7 days a week, 24 hours a day job, our purpose built ice-cream parlour, incorporating the original milking parlour, operates from May to September when the tourist season is in full swing here on the Skellig Coast and the Wild Atlantic Way. All milk used to produce our ice-cream is produced by our own herd, milked on our farm. Our ice-cream is produced on-site, 10 metres from where it is served to our customers in the ice-cream parlour.

We import our ice-cream flavours from Italy using only the highest quality of sugars, vanilla and flavours to enhance the natural creaminess of our ice-cream. We also produce award-winning sorbet catering for those looking for a refreshing and dairy-free alternative. We continue to work on new and exciting flavours with a food technician while serving the favourites in our cones, tubs, milkshakes and sundaes in the ice-cream parlour.

We took the leap 10 years ago to ensure that our farm and business innovated. We operate a unique, artisan, product-focussed business that can grow with our family, increase tourism on Valentia Island, provide employment in our local area and generate growth for future generations to continue farming and be involved in food production in Europe's most westerly inhabited area.
